This policy explains what The 1790 Club (“the club,” “we”) collects
through the 1790 Club mobile app and member website, how we use it, and the choices you
have. The app and site are for club members only.
What we collect
Information you give us
Your name, email address, and phone number.
Optional dates you choose to share — your birthday and anniversary — so the club can mark them.
A photo of yourself, if you add one to your membership card.
Your drink preferences, table reservations, and the invitations you send to other members.
Information collected automatically
A notification token for your device, so we can deliver the notifications you turn on (a reservation confirmed, an invitation to meet at the bar). It identifies your device to the notification service — not you personally.
Basic technical information needed to keep you signed in and to secure your session.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, or your activity on other companies’ apps or websites.
How we use it
To run your membership: your card, reservations, bar invitations, and drink preferences.
To send the notifications you turn on.
To let club staff greet and serve you at the door and the bar.
To keep the club’s systems secure.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
When it is shared
With club staff, who see the information needed to serve you.
With the service providers that operate the app for us, and only to provide it:
Supabase — secure database, sign-in, and photo storage.
Apple Push Notification service and Expo — to deliver notifications to your device.
If the law requires it, or to protect the club’s members and staff.
We never sell your information.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
We keep your information while you are a member. You can delete your account at any time from the app: open your membership card and choose “Delete my account.” That removes your personal details from the club’s systems. A small number of records the club must keep for its own accounts — a past reservation, for example — may be retained in de-identified form.
Your choices
See or correct your details in the app.
Turn notifications on or off from your device settings.
Delete your account, as above.
How we protect it
Your information is encrypted in transit, kept behind sign-in and access controls, and protected by row-level security so that one member cannot see another member’s private details.
Children
The 1790 Club is a members’ club for adults. The app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
